Heather O’Rourke – Cardiac Arrest


Heather O’Rourke experienced success at a very young age. She was discovered by the famous director Steven Spielberg during a visit to MGM’s studios. He chose O’Rourke to take the lead role in the 1982 horror film Poltergeist. She is easily remembered today for her role as the daughter with eerie premonitions. She played the character of Carol Anne Freeling in all three Poltergeist films. She also appeared in 12 TV series, which she received credits for.

She won a Webster Award and was nominated for six Young Artist Awards. She had a long list of accomplishments to her name but sadly, she passed away at the young age of 12. The lovely child star died in 1988 due to septic shock and cardiac arrest.
